May the 4th, Family Vibes & A Tiny Business Win

Today marks May the 4th, a day where “May the Force Be With You” isn't just a Star Wars quote, it's practically a way of life. For this mom, business owner, and lowkey Jedi-at-heart, it turned into a day that was equal parts family, fun, and productivity.

This morning started on a heartfelt note. I called my dad to wish him a very happy 76th birthday. Can we pause for a second and appreciate that milestone? He’s been such a steady force in my life (pun totally intended), and it felt so good to hear his voice and let him know how much he means to me.

Then it was off to the kitchen to make breakfast for my crew. As a mom of four, I can tell you: there's something so satisfying about seeing every one of your kids under one roof, eating together, laughing, chatting, and just being. With everyone home, the energy in the house was full of warmth, something you can’t bottle but you wish you could.

Originally, I had a whole different plan for today. Today was supposed to be the very first day of my vendor booth debut for Tina’s Tiny Things. I had my table set, banner printed, product tags ready, and my new dresses steamed and ready to hang. But guess what? Mother Nature had other plans. The weather didn’t play nice, and the event was cancelled.

And honestly? I didn’t even mind.

Instead of scrambling to set up a pop-up tent in unpredictable weather, I got to do something I rarely get to do on a weekend, I slept in. A warm bed, the sound of rain outside, and no alarm in sight? That felt like luxury.

It also gave me a golden opportunity to pour some energy into my business. I finally had time to upload my brand-new line of baby girl dresses to my website. These dresses have been in the works for weeks, and I’ve been so excited to finally share them with the world. Think soft fabrics, playful prints, and stylish flair perfect for every little fashionista in the making.

If you haven’t already visited my site, now is the perfect time to check it out. The new collection just dropped, and to celebrate, I’m running a couple of sweet offers for my wonderful customers:

Buy $40 worth of custom onesies and receive a FREE matching set of newborn socks and mittens, because every outfit needs accessories.

Want something personalized? I’m also offering custom requests for onesies! Whether it’s a name, quote, or design, I’ll work with you to make it special.

Running Tina’s Tiny Things has been a labor of love, and seeing it grow, one onesie at a time, is something I’m deeply proud of.

After all the uploading and product tweaking (because yes, getting the lighting right matters), I finally kicked my feet up and got to unwind the best way I know how on May 4th: watching my favorite Star Wars movie. Yup, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. I know everyone has their own ranking of the saga, but there’s something about that episode, the emotional weight, the turning point in Anakin’s story, the duel on Mustafar...chef’s kiss.

It’s the perfect blend of action, heartbreak, and unforgettable lines. I could quote half the movie if you let me, but I’ll spare you, unless you're also a Star Wars nerd, in which case: "You were the chosen one!" still gets me every time.

As the day winds down and I mentally prepare for the upcoming work week, I feel content. Things didn’t go as planned today, but somehow, it ended up being just what I needed. A little extra sleep. A full house. A creative spark for my business. And a lightsaber battle to cap it all off.

So here’s to family, flexibility, and the force that keeps us all going, whether it’s Jedi strength, mom strength, or the sheer determination of a small business owner trying to make her mark one tiny thing at a time.

If you're a fellow mama, a baby fashion lover, or just someone who enjoys supporting small businesses, I’d love it if you followed along! I’ve got so many cute things coming to Tina’s Tiny Things, and I promise, every piece is made and selected with love.

Until next time, May the 4th be with you, and may your Mondays be gentle.
