A Sunny Weekend Back at Oak Glen Tavern & Resort: Another Tina’s Tiny Things Adventure

A Sunny Weekend Back at Oak Glen Tavern & Resort: Another Tina’s Tiny Things Adventure

This weekend, we packed up the tent, loaded the car with candles, artisan soaps, body butters, and the cutest baby outfits, and headed right back to one of our favorite places: the Oak Glen Tavern & Resort Vendor Event. If you’ve read any of our previous blog posts, you already know how much we love Oak Glen. It’s one of those magical little pockets in Southern California where the mountains keep the air crisp, the people smile a little more, and everything feels just a bit slower, in the best possible way.

Oak Glen is truly a seasonal destination. Some weekends the crowds are full and bustling, families coming up for fresh air, apple picking, mountain photos, or a peaceful reset. Other weekends it’s quieter, calmer, and gives everyone time to chat, browse, and get to know the vendors. Honestly, we love both. Whether it's packed or peaceful, Oak Glen always gives us the kind of energy that makes working on Tina’s Tiny Things feel meaningful.

One of the best parts about returning to this event often is the vendors we’ve gotten to know. Everyone there shares the same heart and hustle, growing their small business, expanding their products, and connecting with their communities. There’s a beautiful sense of camaraderie in these mountains. We’re not just selling; we're building friendships, swapping advice, celebrating wins, and cheering each other on. It's a circle of makers and dreamers, each showing up with passion behind every product they bring.

(Before the Sun gave us a reason to rearrange the set up)

Our little shop setup turned out so cute again (we take so much pride in that!), but this time we had one unexpected opponent: the sun. Don’t get us wrong, we adore a bright SoCal day, especially up in the mountains. But when you’re selling handcrafted organic candles and soaps… the sun becomes, well, a bit of a diva.

We spent a good portion of the day “playing chess” with our products, constantly rearranging to protect them from direct sunlight. And honestly? We’re not even complaining. Our products are 100% organic, no stabilizers, no fillers, nothing artificial. So yes, the sun might try to melt a candle or soften a butter, but that’s actually a good thing. It’s proof that what you’re buying is clean, real, and naturally made. If a product can sit in the scorching sun and never budge or react… it’s probably not as organic as advertised.

Despite the duel with the sunshine, we had a great day and an even better week. We stayed busy, connected with amazing people, made wonderful sales, and left with plenty of new ideas brewing behind the scenes. And trust us… we have so many fun products coming soon!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported us, or simply shared a smile. Oak Glen continues to remind us why we love doing what we do. Stay tuned—Tina’s Tiny Things is growing, glowing, and getting better every single week.
