A Magical Weekend With Tina’s Tiny Things: Two Vendor Events, Two Incredible Communities

This weekend was truly one for the books for Tina’s Tiny Things. We packed up our dresses, onesies, candles, scrubs, soaps, and our signature pink-draped displays and hit not one—but two incredible vendor events. Each had its own unique atmosphere, its own community, and its own kind of magic. And thanks to the beautiful families who visited us, supported us, and shared smiles with us, this weekend felt like a dream come true for our little brand.

Let’s take you behind the scenes.

Oak Glen, CA – A Mountain Escape Full of Fresh Air, Apple Orchards & Holiday Magic

Our first stop was Oak Glen, California, tucked up in the mountains near Yucaipa. If you've ever driven into Oak Glen, then you already know that feeling—air turning crisp, trees standing tall, and orchards stretching out like something from a postcard.

Every time we drive up that mountain, we see deer wandering through the apple orchards as if they own the place (which honestly... they kind of do!). And although the drive includes “Bear Crossing” warning signs—something that still makes us chuckle nervously—we haven’t encountered one yet. But with our luck, one day we probably will!

Oak Glen is one of those rare places where time slows down. Families head up there for apple picking, fall festivities, warm cider, and that mini escape from the fast-paced city life below. Around the holidays, it becomes a go-to location for family Christmas photos. Everywhere you look, you’ll find adorable little ones in their holiday sweaters, parents trying to wrangle everyone into a frame, and that mountain glow making every picture look magical.

Our vendor setup looked absolutely beautiful beneath the mountain sun—just like in the photos we snapped. You can see our pink-covered table filled with 100% organic candles, body scrubs displayed neatly in jars, creamy soaps, and adorable kid-friendly packaging. Our clothing racks overflowed with colorful dresses, tiny onesies, soft loungewear sets, and lace-trimmed toddler outfits dancing gently in the breeze.

The mountain crowd always has a special energy—warm, grateful, curious, and ready to support small businesses. Many customers had never seen our booth before, and their reactions were priceless:
“Oh my goodness, these dresses!”
“This candle smells amazing!”
“Everything is so cute and so nicely displayed!”

One mom even said our booth looked like a “mini boutique from Pinterest,” and honestly? That made our entire day.

People came from all over—locals, travelers, families on day trips—and so many walked away not just with products but with hugs, stories, and new memories. There’s something about Oak Glen that brings out the best in people, and we’re always honored to be part of that weekend escape.

Redlands, CA – A Neighborhood Event That Turned Into One of Our Busiest Days Ever

After wrapping up our Oak Glen day, we headed back down the mountain into our hometown area—and the next morning we set up at an event in Redlands, CA. This one totally surprised us in the best possible way.

The event was held in a parking lot near a self-storage facility. Honestly, when we first pulled in, we weren’t sure what to expect. It didn’t look like one of those “big traffic” locations, and we figured it would be a simple, quiet event.

But wow… were we wrong.

From morning until closing, the entire area was buzzing with activity. The event seems to draw a ton of foot traffic from the nearby road, plus all the families who live in the surrounding houses—not just apartments, but full neighborhoods filled with parents, grandparents, and little ones. It's one of those hidden gems that you don’t appreciate until you’re right in the middle of it.

Redlands only hosts this event once every quarter, so being invited was already a blessing. But being part of such a supportive, welcoming, and energetic crowd made it even better.

This day became one of our busiest and most successful events ever.

People loved our setup—the clothing racks filled with pastel onesies, floral dresses, heart-printed pajamas, and lace-lined rompers. Moms kept touching the fabrics and saying, “This is so soft!” or “These colors are perfect for my daughter!”

Our candle and body care display was another huge hit. Just like in the photos, everything looked cohesive, clean, and inviting—exactly how we want Tina’s Tiny Things to feel.

And of course, THIS was the same event where we met the Skunkworks family—the ones who inspired our now-famous Banana-Scented Candle. They stopped by again this weekend, and seeing their faces light up when we shared the update was priceless. They weren’t the only ones who recognized us either. More and more people are starting to say:

“Hey, you’re Tina’s Tiny Things, right? We follow you!”
“I bought from you before!”
“You were at the last event!”

Hearing that is surreal. As a family-run small business, every single message, every returning customer, every “I remember you!” moment means the world to us.

What This Weekend Meant to Us

Running a small business takes heart, grit, late nights, early mornings, and a whole lot of hauling tables, racks, crates, and displays. But weekends like this one—where we get to meet hundreds of families, watch kids twirl in our dresses, see customers smell every candle, and connect with people who truly appreciate what we create—make it so worth it.

These two events were completely different settings:

🌄 Oak Glen: mountain magic, cool air, holiday families, nature, and peaceful vibes
🏘️ Redlands: hometown energy, heavy foot traffic, friendly neighbors, lively community

But both shared the same beautiful thread:
kind people, warm conversations, and the growing love for Tina’s Tiny Things.

We are grateful beyond words. And to everyone who shopped with us, stopped by, waved, smiled, or shared our booth with a friend—thank you. YOU are helping us build something special for our family and for all the families we serve.

We can’t wait for the next event.
And we can’t wait to see you there.
